Bidrage med feedback7.30 pm on Sunday, towards the end of a 3hr drive. So very happy to receive friendly polite service from Winchester South services' Burger King. Excellent burger, (far better value and service than our last one, back in November 2019, in Ho Chi Min City airport! , good social distancing measures, no inside seating...so we sat at one of the picnic benches in the evening sunshine...lovely. They were taking orders only via the large touch screen order points. Hopefully they are disinfected frequently.Such a tasty and welcome meal!Access is level, doors are automatic, toilets are open. Good parking.We also briefly visited the Northbound Winchester services in the morning. On both visits, there were few customers, so easy to keep distance.
Don 't bother stopping here if you want a beef burger....I stopped to have a whopper because, TBH, I was tempted by all the recent advertising but there were no Beef burgers only Chicken....I didn 't realise BK was now a KFC
Food ordered on screen. We waited and waited and waited. It transpires that whoever's is in charge thinks 3 men can run the whole thing. WRONG! They were busy which is fair enough but then when people are sick of waiting and want a refund they serve them straight away. This leaves the orders in a shambles and the more patient people kept waiting even longer. No Fast Food should take 40 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous. The whole place was unbelievably bad. Especially the ridiculously designed car park that is like a maze and causes traffic gridlock. Don't bother!
As with my last review, last week, of Burger King at Fleet Services. Terrible service (only two staff at a busy lunch hour as opposed to Fleet where they couldn't care less . And, as with Fleet, Ice Cream Machine Broken (hottest day of the year September!!! . I'll avoid Burger Kings in future as two different ones in two locations, three bad experiences in as many weeks!
The restaurant was advertising products that they did not actually sell, with no indication given that the items were unavailable. After waiting at the till and being ignored for a while, it was finally revealed that the advertised product was not available. I placed my order using a kiosk machine, which was fine, but then I was left waiting for my food with no communication or acknowledgement from staff. I had to go up to the counter to collect my order, where the staff seemed disinterested and simply pushed the tray towards me before walking away. It was disappointing to see a lack of politeness from the staff. They also did not apply my MOD discount for use at the services. Overall, it was not a good experience at Burger King. Hopefully, it was just an off day, but I can now see someone else going up to complain as I write this review.
