Bidrage med feedbackI recently made a visit to Marlborough from Ireland for a family reunion. The evening spent having dinner The Zaika Inn was a highlight of the trip. Modest in appearance from the outside, we were greeted warmly on arrival. The restaurant manager was the epitome of charm and courtesy, and met with some demanding requests from us with great aplomb. It was clear that the restaurant can accommodate varying dietary and taste requirements, and does so without drama or delay. The flexibility and kindness shown by the staff was greatly appreciated by all of us. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. The next time I visit Marlborough I shall definitely be booking a table again at The Zaika Inn.
If you complain you get banned. I ate with my friend Thursday the 26th of October. We shared our meal which was simple and not spicy. We were both ill all day Friday. I visited the restaurant at 6 o’clock when there were no customers so as not create a scene and to inform the owner that we were both ill just in case others had so he could investigate any health issues. The owner did not take on board what I was saying. He did not accept it was his restaurant. Neither myself of my friend have any intolerances and are used to spicy curry’s even though this was mild. The owner credited me for the meal which I hadn’t gone to the restaurant for but as he was so indignant I accepted his offer to credit me. I couldn’t believe my ears when I was told that customers like me are not welcome to come back, even though I have been to the restaurant many times before. I was polite and wanted to inform the owner in the interests of all customers. I told him crediting me was correct behaviour but to refuse my custom was incorrect and disgraceful. So if you want to eat there the do so but if you’re I’ll and complain your banned. Needless to say I will never spend my tax paid money to this establishment.
Second visit in a year.Nothing changed fabulous curry quantity,Quality and taste first class service A1 real family atmosphere friendly helpful Prices wry reasonable A little gem you cannot afford to pass
Was looking for an Indian style evening meal came across The Zaika Inn. From it other reviews sound the place to visit. As we visited it on the off chance its quite small, we arrived just in time, before it got busy it ran out of tables. It was good here while we waited for our meals, the owner talking to other guests, who must visit regular, not only talking about the restaurant but each others family how they doing. When our food arrived we're not disappointed with the presentation taste. We would happily eat here again, the next time we're in Malborough, but we just may ring ahead book a table to make sure we can get a table.
Excellent friendly service and all four of us had a fantastic meal. We will definitely be returning, even though it is a 40 mins drive (but will be worth it!
