Bidrage med feedbackI received a warm welcome upon entering the restaurant, which I believe is run by volunteers who do a great job. I enjoyed a delicious coronation chicken salad followed by a decent cup of filter coffee.
This charming café, run by a church, offers a friendly atmosphere and delicious, well-prepared food at very reasonable prices. My wife was having lunch there during a break from a meeting in the rooms upstairs, and I joined her for a simple snack lunch of Jacket Potato with Tuna Sweetcorn and salad, accompanied by a large cup of excellent coffee and a scrumptious slice of Lemon Drizzle Cake. While not a traditional restaurant, this café certainly excels at what it does.
The food here is awesome better then any cafe and restaurant you find in the city. Such a friendly atmosphere it's lovely, wish all eateries were like this.
Just up the road opposite St Paul's church and just up the road from the railway station is SP2 community center. A hidden gem, I wish all cafe's were like this. The menu has since got bigger and it's now possible on certain days to get hot meal's that weren't previously on the list. There's also free WIFI, and (more importantly) a listening ear if you want a friendly chat. Rooms upstairs are for hire and the Hope room is just amazing. The food is great, and the Kingdom coffee is not to be missed. One of my favorite places.
This café is just outside of the main Salisbury central area, I would say about 10 minutes walk through the town. The route is along Fisherton Street (the slightly alternative part of Salisbury), and the SP2 café is just minutes away from the Salisbury train station. It is called SP2 Café as a clever pun on their postal district area. We 've long wanted to try this eatery and today we managed to get there. As we just needed a quick snack for lunch I 'm unable to review what it would be like for a larger meal. I had a bowl of carrot and coriander soup, it could have been a tiny bit hotter, but it was good enough and the flavour was really delicious! That came with a roll and butter. My husband had a tuna and cheese melt panini topped with sesame seeds, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We had two coffees with our meal and I thought it was the best coffee I had ever tasted. Reviewing the service and café decor The decor was modern, bright and cheerful with a friendly vibe. The service was brilliant and very helpful (I 'm a vegetarian and that didn 't pose any problem regarding choice of food), friendly and happy staff, so important in a customer facing role. All in all a good visit and we look forward to returning to this eatery in the future.
