Bidrage med feedbackAfter travelling back from wales after a disappointing game against Ireland, I stumbled upon this great pit stop to grab a bit to eat and drown my sorrows I decided to go for the katsu curry! What a delight, 5 stars recommend.
Nice food, friendly staff! Very welcoming especially ‘chloe’ I think her name was, good attitude and will definitely return on my next visit!
On the M4 and driving west everyone came to a stop as there was an ‘incident’ resulting in the closure of the motorway. Not knowing how long the delay would be, I decided to follow the steady stream of vehicles filtering off into Leigh Delamere Services. I then parked up and went in search of lunch. I don’t often dine in Motorway Services most food outlets in such places offer fast food of low quality, low value combined with high carb, high fat and high cost. I looked around and noticed ‘Chow Asian Kitchen’ this sounded much more promising than I had expected. I had seen this outlet brand before at the M42 Tamworth Services but I wasn’t stopping for a meal, just a coffee, on that occasion. So what is this outlet all about? Well it is fast food of course but with a very far eastern feel and theme. I like eastern and far eastern cuisines and at home we cook Indian, Thai and Malay food, and our favourite at the moment is Vietnamese. As this was my main meal of the day, I decided to indulge in a bit of finger food to start. The ‘Duck Spring Rolls’ were quite tasty and had a good texture. The ‘Ebi Panko Prawn’ (just the one, Mrs Wembley) was delicate with a great texture. The ‘Chicken Popcorn’ skewer was good but could have been radically improved with a hot sauce dip. The “Gyoza Chicken Veg Spring Roll’ was almost tasteless and did not particularly have a satisfying texture. I decided the ‘Teriyaki Sweet Chilli Chicken’ appealed as a good main dish. This was served with sticky rice and was really good. It was spicy but not too chilli hot and there was sufficient sauce to be soaked up with the rice There were plenty of other choices of mains and finger food and now, having tried the ‘Chow’ brand, I will seek them out as first choice when visiting (more out of necessity than by choice) other Motorway Services. At least I now know that CAK it’s a far better option for me than ‘Mac Kings’ and ‘Kens Tuckie Foul Chicken’.
Love terriaki chicken noodles i would dispute that it's chicken as it seems more like turkey but delicious non the less.
A healthy choice at a motorway service stop right next to Burger King. Plenty of seating and other food choices.
