Touch Of Italy - Wilmington

The service here was not great. My group arrived in the early afternoon (1 hour after opening) so it wasn't busy at all but the time waiting for our server took extremely long. The food took forever with no update on what was going on. After receiving my food (which was highly recommended) was not good at all. The pasta dish I ordered (Penne Vodka) was dry, very little sauce. It just was not appetizing. The attitude of the staff was unacceptable. Sunday I went there with a large party. My food was good but some people in the group didn't like their food. My cousin returned her entire pizza. My issue is the customer service there sucks. It wasn't explained to me or the people at my end of the table that only the first 2 garlic breads would be complementary. The complementary ones where placed at the beginning and end of the table. Those of us in the middle didn't get any so we (not just me) asked for another one. Later when the check arrived it was on my check . I inquired about it and I felt I was given a lot of attitude from the female and male wait staff. The lady explain to me the only the first two where are complementary. I told her I did not know that so she sent the male back over. He explained the same thing she did and then said haven't you been to a restaurant before. I don't know if he was joking or not but I thought that was very rude. Then he said he would take it off this time but next time I would have to pay. I do not live in Delaware nor do I plan on coming again. This was my first and last time there. I don't feel as though he was appropriate in asking me if I've ever been to a restaurant. Prior to this incident other members of our group but maybe the staff were a bit rude. They forgot to bring my cousins drinks but remembered before they brought the checks out. If it wasn't for the attitudes and the issue with my check I may have given them 4 stars because my food was good.

Pre-COVID complaint. We are never going back. Both times we went the food was okay, but nothing worth the price. Since the first time we went, they had just opened, but we decided to give them a second try a year later. After a subpar meal, my mother ordered an Irish coffee. They were out of whipped cream, so my mother asked if they could put a tablespoon of vanilla ice cream in her coffee instead. They charged her for the dab of ice cream! I've held off writing this review, so I forget how much, but it was what they would have charged for a full scoop if ice cream, which she did not receive. Never again!

Okay so this place is good but not worth the cost. Everything that we got was mediocre good not bad not exceptional but it cost $77 for two people to have two meals two appetizers and a dessert and I got an alcoholic drink. now you would think that that would be worth it for $77 but the food was just okay it wasn't like amazing or anything The best thing that we got was my out my beverage which was a seacret mule. My drink was amazing and that's why I gave it two stars instead of one because the drink had just the right amount of ginger just the right amount of alcohol it was perfect it was delicious it was good. My food I got the penny vodka with the chicken. The chicken was very thin it wasn't a big piece of chicken for the extra money that you paid to add the meat to your meal it was like they took a small chicken breast and then filleted it and then fried it so it's just chicken chips really. Then my pasta was good it was cooked well but the sauce was kind of bland. The cake they say that you have to order it when you order your entree and I don't understand why because it was a small cake that was prepared well in advance because the icing was hard and that you can touch it without getting the cannoli and cream on your fingers so that was a major strike against it. The inside the cake was chocolate it was light it was fluffy as long as you take all that stuff off the top and just eat the inside of the cake it would be okay not worth 10 bucks though. My husband got a small bowl of the soup and you would think there would be a lot of soup but the bowl was kind of thin it was wide but then so he only got a little bit of soup but it was okay it was tasty and he got potato gnocchi with meatballs. He said that his food was okay we left feeling like it was it was an okay meal but not worth the $87 including tip. I wouldn't go again unless I went with a group of people who wanted it and I was just going to get maybe some appetizers. The garlic bread was so saturated with butter or olive oil Don't know which that you can squeeze it and it would pour onto the plate now if you love buttery overly buttery garlic bread that has cheese on it then this is the place for you definitely order it it's a nice size portion for a 10 bucks it was just too saturated with butter for me to even like really eat it.

The food is incredible, and the host is a true gentleman. My wife and I absolutely adore him!
