Bidrage med feedbackNice location with a good room. The carpet radiates a lousy smell and the washroom has come down a bit, with a clogged tub. Not the cleanest facility, but the view is spectacular and there is a restaurant on site, with good food and friendly service. Coffee machine and refrigerator in the room are good amenities. The building can definitely use a renovation to pare it with other facilities.
Our stay was wonderful. Our room was very nice, clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The view of the mountains around the resort was beautiful. Tricia, the office manager, was excellent. She is a jewel, so pleasant and helpful, makes you very welcome. I'm sure you stay back.
Great bar and super service. Food is a bit pricey for what you get but the atmosphere is great and overlooks a beautiful section of the river. Def want to get back and try out their bar.
My family and I just spent our Yuletide weekend at Hungry Trout. Our stay was very pleasant. A decent room, great views, nice people, but what made our stay the most pleasant was the chef in the restaurant. We have nutritional restrictions for most of our family and although it started restlessly, Chef Brad quickly came to rescue and made things so much better. After hearing heavy allergies from our sons, he came to our table for every meal to talk to us about our wishes and needs. Chef Brad went beyond and beyond and we couldn't be more grateful and value-adding. Thank you. Chef Brad and the rest of the staff at The Hungry Trout Resort! We'll see you again:
I was there at the beginning of February, shortly after the new owner had taken over. I was there in early February for a weekend to ski in Whiteface, which is only about a quarter mile away. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It ran a snowstorm so it was quite cold, but the room was warm. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurant are excellent. I ate both nights in the restaurant and thought the food was delicious. The ducks as an appetizer and the smoked trout were delicious. I had the Guide Platter curly both nights and it was fantastic. I usually go to Killington, but go back to Whiteface to stay in Hungry Trout. I highly recommend it. Donner
