Stanley's Tavern - Wilmington

My husband and I stopped by for happy hour yesterday and had a really great time. We ate in the bar, service was awesome, food was delicious and the vibe was that of a local place. They have a nice happy hour menu, from which my husband got the Jr. Tavern burger with a small side of fries. He really enjoyed it. I got the shrimp tacos which were nice and spicy, just the way I like them. The shrimp in them was good size too. I would have liked some grated cabbage or lettuce on them, but that’s just my preference. We enjoyed our meal so much that we got a gift certificate for our son and daughter-in-law so they could enjoy a nice night out, seeing as they are new parents.

A great restaurant, that has a really nice bar and very good food. I really enjoy the barbecue but the menu has a little bit of everything. A ton of parking. The wait staff is great. Check them out!

The food here is great and priced within reason. Service has always been a bit slow, so I would not recommend for a quick meal. Great place to watch the game

Great place to watch any sports with flat screens throughout. Two separate bars, a main dining room and catering area upstairs. Lots of food and drink specials during games. We went on New Year's eve day. We watched the game, had the 10 for $10 wing special and split the new year's rib special (full rack of ribs with 2 sides for $27). We liked both wings and ribs but didn't feel like it was the best we ever had. Both very fresh and meaty with mild flavors. I would certainly return to try one of their fun burgers and watch a game.

Went there for the first time last Thursday, and wish I came here before. Alex the bartender was amazing and great to talk to. I had the shrimp tacos and caesar salad which were really good. Everyone was nice and friendly there! Definitely will be coming back!
