We miss this place so much! We used to love getting the Beef on Weck along with fresh chips and chocolate chip cookies. We would really love to have their cookie recipe. It was cherished for many years! We hope it reopens someday.

I came for the sandwich but ended up staying for the cookies! There are only a handful of meals I've enjoyed in this town over the past decade, and the Beef on Weck ranks among the very best. It's made with tender roast beef, served with Au Jus and a kick of horseradish, all on a fresh kummelweck bun—simply perfection. Yes, the restaurant is small, and yes, it gets incredibly busy during lunch, but it's absolutely worth it for some of the finest sandwiches in town. And don’t get me started on the chocolate chip cookies!

Wow! My boyfriend and I have been upset ever since Chips Deli in Wrightsville closed, but then we discovered this little gem. I can't remember the name of the sandwich I had, but it truly brought joy back into my life. I highly recommend adding the pesto mayo to anything—it’s so delicious I'd eat it by the spoonful! The sandwich was perfectly pressed, and the bread was incredibly soft. The shop is quite small and finding a seat can be tricky, but whether you dine in or take out, the food is absolutely amazing!

If you make almost everything in house you are eligible for 5 stars. Then add in great prompt, service and unusual options (beef on weck even though I am not a fan). Fresh made bread, fresh made sides, and clean updated seating area? I guess that is why there was a line to order on a Sunday during low season and before college was in session. Do it right, do it fresh, and we will eat it!

This place is a hidden gem in Wilmington. When I walked in the line was to the door which right off the bat means it's good. I had a great experience, but what I was most impressed with was the service with how busy they were. Food came out really quickly an staff was so pleasant. I got the beef on weck which is something they're famous for! Now I see why it's so popular. It's SO good! The sauce they give you with it is amazing. I'm not sure if they do this all the time, but when I went they were giving out cookies after every meal which was a great surprise treat. Absolutely love this place and encourage everyone to go!
