Mac's Speed Shop - Wilmington

The ribs we had were tender and great taste. I am fussy about Cole Slav and that was the top of the line in taste. I ordered the Mac and cheese despite the reviews of no taste and blande. I tried it first and it was really good. Needs sharp cheddar and/or perhaps Swiss cheese, but this is my taste. Once I had a taste of the ribs, the Mac and the cheese seemed to bland, but it was great before the ribs. My husband had ribs, ff, beans and Brunswick stew. He said the stew was different from what he had cost in the past, but was still very good. It had more of a tomato taste. He enjoyed the beans and the various sauces for the ribs (I ate my ribs as they brought them, no supplements). He didn't care about his ff. We didn't have room for Dessert, but wanted to try next time. The costs for the two of us were just $41 and change. I thought that was great. I even had ribs to take home from the 1/2 rack. I almost made sure they bite us hush puppies that were great and Texas Toast came with our meal. Iced Tee was good and not so sweet that I had to mix with unsweetened as I had in other restaurants. The service was good and the food just arrived at the right time.

The beef and fat breeze are the best bbq I had! Then the apple bread pudding for dessert in the mix and OMG, pure heaven. Solid food, fast and friendly service.

My husband and I went on a Monday night to check this place. I love the atmosphere! Big bar and a ton of beer choice! BBQ is my favorite, but my hubby loves it and its special so that we share the combo plate. We have brisket, chicken, ribs and bbq and it was all good. Bartender was sweet. Love the garage doors! Think they're doing a great job!

Great food. I had the brisket philly wrap and it was amazing. You have 50 beers on tap and then a ton more in bottles. You have something for everyone. Good atmosphere with live music. They even opened the wall doors to the outside. Great mood! I love it!

My husband and I dined in Friday afternoon and we loved it! Kylie (I think I spelled it right) our server was so sweet and informative. We had burnt end nachos to start off and those burnt ends are addictive. We shared ribs and bbq with cheddar grits, green bean casserole, baked potato salad and Brunswick stew. All were equally fresh and delicious, portions were very good. The banana pudding was fantastic too! We were checked on frequently and everyone was on top of their game! We will definitely be back as loyal customers.
