Islands Fresh Mex Grill - Wilmington

Islands is my go-to spot for a quick lunch, and it never disappoints in terms of taste.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I tried the tacos, and the queso was excellent. Plus, it's a fantastic value!

We walked here for a meal during a Bachelorette weekend after enjoying a Brew Boat ride on the river. I ordered the Islander Salad and swapped the spicy chicken for ground beef. The guacamole on the side was tasty. I thought it was a bit pricey for what we got, but overall, the food and service were quite good.

We visited the town on the Friday and Saturday before Halloween 2022. We had dinner on Friday and returned for lunch on Saturday. What did we want? Nothing fancy! How about the prices? Excellent! And the taste? Absolutely fantastic! The service was top-notch as well. Be prepared for some great '80s music while you dine. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a casual spot with friendly and enthusiastic staff who quickly serve delicious food at an affordable price.

The food at The Islands is consistently great, which is why I keep coming back. However, this time the tacos were overstuffed and a bit messy. They really had a fantastic deal on tacos too! It’s tough to find anything better than this. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon!
