Ridgeview Grill - Wilmette

The had skillets there and they were both good. Too much food to finish. I wish they had Tabasco and the decor looks a bit dated (but both bad).

Great spot in Wilmette downtown. Staff are super friendly and breakfast was very good.

We came back to Ridgeview after many years, having moved away years ago. We had previously been a big fan of this North Shore establishment for over 30 years in its earlier days before renovations to its current layout. Today the restaurant didn’t disappoint- friendly server, good coffee and iced tea refills, delicious fluffy omelettes and eggs Benedict. Very clean, relax and cozy place. Good food. Nothing special but typical taste. Varieties of options for meat, chicken and seafood. Polite and nice waitresses. We ordered wings, Athenian chicken, chicken Parmesan pasta with creamy chicken rice soup. I think the potatoes were already pre-cooked.

Ordered the skirt steak and it was about the same quality if I, a mediocre cook, followed a meal kit recipe; pretty average, nothing special. If you want a basic meal, it's not bad, just don't expect to be wowed.
