Hotel Zum Forsthaus - Willingen

My wife and I had a simple lunch, a Jaeger-Schnitzel with pommes frites and a mixed salade, and a very tasteful, fresh goulash soup. However, I was not that happy with the sauce of the schnitzel: not tasteful, bad quality of champignons. The atmosphere in the restaurant, combined with the nice and friendly service, made our visit acceptable. Rhe location is near the famous 'Ski-Schanze', worth a visit.

I always enjoy visiting this place and it is a good place to call in after a strenuous walk . Coffee and homemade cakes are delicious as is the hot chocolate.In the past I have had excellent meals here too.Staff are welcoming and service is good and the surroundings are traditional.I recommend.

At first sight, the restaurant looks nice. Also the menu looks nice. But when you start the food, it is like it laid probably already half the day under the infrared light to keep it warm for the guests. Tasteless. Not nice.

Every time we go to Sauerland, we just have to visit this place for lunch or dinner. Sometimes even twice per holiday. It is just what you expect in this part of Germany. Traditional, but in its sort splendid cuisine, nice atmosphere en splendid service.You will most certainly not be disappointed.By the way; this is also an hotel. Very good hiking possibilities. Skislopes not too far away and very quiet (hardly any traffic)

The cake is very tasty and they can sit well and the service is very nice
