Taj Mahal - Willingen (Upland)

De inrichting is nogal outdated en het restaurant ligt boven een winkel, maar het eten is prima. De kip is heerlijk mals en het naam-brood behoort tot de beste die we gegeten hebben. We waren de enige klanten tijdens de lunch, wat niet zo gezellig was. Bovendien hadden ze hun huilende baby ook in het restaurantgedeelte wat de gesprekken nogal verstoorde. Dat is dan wel weer jammer.Volgende keer zouden we er dan ook alleen gaan dineren.

Eating was really good and for vegan there are four tofu dishes to choose. I had the 67 (see picture). later learned from other reviews here that the naan brot is probably not vegan.

Friendly service, but unfortunately the Allergen label is incomplete and tastefully found my man and also I not so good. chana masala (nr. 61) is e.g. oriented with vegetarians, but it is neither ice nor milk characterized as allergens. on demand that is not vegan, I was asked about the waiter in the kitchen, the answer is not vegan. I then ordered the tofu jalfrezi (nr 67) with naanbrot, whereupon the waiter told me if my food must be vegan, I would have to take the rice as supplement, since this is naanbrot with butter and therefore not vegan. as allergen is milk, but also not shown here, and the naanbrot is also among the vegan foods. my eating (nr. 67) was saturating, but unfortunately much too kernanderladen, I would have known that (so much) is kernaner in it, I would have ordered something else. in tofu mango (nr. 70) my mannes, in which cashewkern and mandele should be in, were unfortunately neither cashewkern nor mandele in.

The menu is somewhat confusing as it is a page with the title “vegetarian” and a page with the title “vegan”, but some of the vegetarian dishes are also vegan. the waiter was very friendly and checked if the product we wanted to order was vegan (the naan was obviously not.) the “tofu palak” was really delicious! the son of my friend wanted some mango ice cream, but they were out of ice. He has a mango leti in the house.
