Bidrage med feedbackThis is a great spot to enjoy an ice cream treat on Route 66! The restaurant has a fun 50's theme, which is reflected in its name, and it's owned by the mayor's son. They serve delicious burgers,...
If I could give this place zero stars, I would! We were simply passing through this charming town on our way back from a visit to the Grand Canyon. We were drawn in by...
We decided to come here because all the other restaurants, except for McDonald's, were closed. We had heard from another restaurant that they serve really good burgers, but...
The full bar is a disappointment, offering a very limited selection of alcohol. However, they do have a decent range of draft beers, and I appreciated the way the glasses were slanted. The bartender, a young woman training another server on how to make a proper rum and Coke, didn't even know which rum to use. I ended up giving her advice, which isn't a problem, but it shows a lack of staff training from management. Neither of them seemed to know how to properly pour the drink or the order in which to do it. I even had to suggest how to stir the drink to avoid the layered effect where the stronger alcohol ends up at the bottom. The malt I ordered for my son and me was good, but we couldn't get another because they were out of malt—a clear issue with management not placing their orders correctly, if they ordered anything at all. The chili fries were decent, but the chili tasted like it came straight from a can, and the fries were literally from Dairy Queen, as our server informed us after they arrived at our table, which was also a result of a management mix-up. I was willing to overlook all of this for the sake of nostalgia until our burgers arrived—dry, unseasoned, and served on a burnt bun. I made a complaint, which the server relayed to the owner. His response was dismissive, suggesting we were amateurs who didn't know what we were talking about. This was incredibly rude, especially since he didn't know my background in food service and kitchen management. Overall, it was completely unsatisfactory, and it's clear why he struggles to retain employees when the place is always empty. It's disheartening to see this iconic place from my youth decline to such shabby food and experience, especially with such a rude owner driving customers away. I wouldn't return nor would I recommend it to anyone seeking decent food. Furthermore, the owner has claimed this is a fake review due to the facts presented, rather than acknowledging their shortcomings. That's fine—I'm just writing this to inform others.
Fantastic diner! The food is excellent and the staff is really friendly. I will definitely stop by whenever I'm in Williams.
