Le Gouverneur deserves recognition for its exceptional service, and delicious food! We picked this restaurant as our one night off resort based on the great reviews, friends who recommended it, and because they clearly identify gluten free options on the menu of which there were plenty! The servers’ knowledge of cross contamination and understanding about the importance of needing gluten free really reduced my anxiety about eating at a restaurant in a different country. Our server, Lindsay, was excellent and made sure to let me know what was going to be safe options for me. Before I even asked, she let me know that the fries were not an option for me because it was a shared fryer. The food was excellent and large portions. The cocktails and wine were also excellent. I highly recommend Le Gouverneur ! Just a tip: the balcony seating the overlooks the swing bridge and harbour books up a week in advance; be sure to reserve online well in advance otherwise, the garden seating is just as lovely with a good vibe but also needs reservations.
