Bidrage med feedbackFood amazing!<br/ <br/ Sourdough bread is to die for.<br/ <br/ Entrees, although a touch small, were presented well and tasted delicious. (Quail and kingfish) <br/ <br/ Wonderful to have a proper cacio pepe!! Closest I’ve had to Rome. Carcioncini was sooooooo good! <br/ <br/ Mains the lamb is probably the best I’ve tasted in a long time. Porchetta was also delicious.<br/ <br/ Service was a tad disjointed at times but apart from that the kitchen ran so smoothly and our food experience was second to none.<br/ <br/ Highly recommend
Have been twice. Good authentic food. Lovely venue. Saw Guy Grossi walk past but he didn’t acknowledge any diners. A nod would’ve been nice. Anyway will return again.
Pasta was very fresh! We love the breakfast buffet here as it’s filled up with Italian delicacies as opposed to intl/american foods
I celebrated my 42nd birthday at Garum. They had prepared a special Birthday card, handwritten by someone in the team to thank me for choosing Garum for my birthday, which I thought was a nice touch. The dining room is beautiful. Very high ceiling. It looks like an old church has been converted into this immense dining space. The high ceiling effect made it a little noisy at times. The waiting staff was great. My waitress acknowledged it was my birthday and thanked me again. She was very knowledgeable about the menu. She was from Argentina, so we discussed her favourite dishes on the menu. The menu reminded me of being in Rome. Their signature dish is Cacio e Pepe!I had 1/2 dozen oysters as an entrée. It was served with a dill and shallots vinaigrette which tasted divine. I’m sure they could have taken the peeps out of the lemon... that sort of lack of attention to detail in a fine dining restaurant is a big mistake. For main, I ordered the rabbit. OMG! That was beautiful. It was served in an olive and onion broth, just like my grandmother would have done it. Fabulous! For dessert, I treated myself to the Tiramisu. Very nice. Well portioned, fluffy mascarpone, savoiardi soaked in coffee just the right amount. Perfect! As you can tell, I had a great time.
After being seated by the host we waiting about 15 mins before we asked a waiter walking past to give us a menu. To begin we were given house bread with a lovely oil and spinach dip a rather different approach to most restaurants. The kingfish crudo was lovey and fresh and perfectly balanced. The carcioncini was nice however I thought lacked a punch of flavour to make you want more and more. The local fish with capers was well cooked and seasoned. The service thankfully picked up with a lovely waiter providing recommendations and good service. All in all a nice dinner but just lacking that wow factor to make me rush back.
