Coach's Neighborhood Grill Wilkesboro

I got my usual bbq nachos. I’m at Coaches at least every other week.My gluten free options are limited.Apparently Coaches changed their chicken to a spicy chicken. I took one bite and new I wasn’t going to be able to eat it. I can’t eat spicy foods. Since the chicken comes already preseason and cooked it couldn’t be prepared without the spices.Lauren, our server was very gracious and took the nachos back and I ordered a steak.Unfortunately there isn’t much on the menu that is left for me to eat that is gluten free and not the spicy chicken.Dietary restrictions: Please add gluten free buns.Please bring back the normal chicken.

Burger was delicious even though it was just a tad overdone. Next time I'll order med-rare instead of medium. Our server (S. Hicks) was great!

Nice sports bar in Wilkesboro. I have eaten here many times while visiting family in the area and always had a pleasant experience. The food is tasty with a good variety, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the establishment is clean and well maintained. They have a lot of TV's to catch the game on and a neat sports themed docor representing many local and NC teams. I'll definitely be back again.

As a first time guest at this location, we were hesitant to dine here as the parking lot was pretty empty for a Saturday night. I really appreciate our waitress for doing everything she could to help make our meal better. We initially ordered the Coach’s Signature Nachos and a basket of their Signature Fried Pickles but the nachos were mostly chips and a minimal chili and cheese sauce. The fried pickles were also undercooked. The waitress was happy to substitute the nachos for the Cheese fries as that was my alternative choice. She said that since the kitchen was closing soon, she made them herself: the effort really shows as they were five times better than the nachos. Overall, not a bad spot but the quality of the food could definitely use a upgrade. For us, most likely a one-time restaurant.
