Bidrage med feedbackFirst time here for breakfast. Server was friendly but service was a little slow. Food was good with fluffy pancakes. Omelets was large but just okay.
Great breakfast choices. Food was excellent. Portions were perfect. It was fathers day when we visited, very busy and the staff seemed obviously overwhelmed. Service was very slow that day, can't say what a normal day would be like. But the atmosphere was still friendly and courteous.
Had the new Tex Mex Wrap with was very good. The chorizo was overly spicy. nice portion. Service was slow. I over heard others complaining about the slowness. As you can see the breakfast menu is enormous. Some items seemed higher priced for breakfast utens but you can make that individual call.
I have no clue how this place could average over 4 stars? The coffee, which she made fresh, was not good. The meatloaf tasted funny, not bad exactly but I have a feeling I will be sick from eating it. The service was okay but only okay. She questioned our drink order. She questioned me when I said the same as my hubby for food too. Not questioned in a way that indicated that she cared but was I sure I wanted the same drinks and food. Otherwise, she was okay. For a place that says everything is homemade and fresh... well I question this.
Based on the variety in the menu, I held on to hopes that the food would make up for the rude and unwelcoming (almost hostile) service. Because the menu felt like the work of people who care about food and quality, I took the big risk and went straight for the meatloaf, the dish that will (for better or worse) tell you the most about a kitchen 's priorities, methods and ingredients. I should have been more cautious. The flavor was something in the range of Legally Meat, and unusually bland to boot, so there was nothing to disguise the deep sadness and (I fear) terrible gastric consequences to come. The good news: the cornbread was nice. Northern style (the sweet-cake variety), with a good crumb and density, moist and delicious. The fresh-veggie sides (I had both the broccoli and the garden mixed, and the mixed turned out to be more broccoli with a bit of carrot) were also good: not overcooked, and the carrots were in pleasing thin slices. The coffee was fine, and the booth was comfortable. And I 'm still curious about the rest of the menu ... But with unwelcoming service and such a poor entree, I 'm not sure if my curiosity will overcome my revulsion. End Note: I overheard the waitress mention that the management has changed in some way. This might mean good changes are coming, or it might mean the bad changes have just arrived. Caveat emptor.
