Gipfo Hit - Wildschoenau

Grilltag, so I had mix of fresh BBQ meat and some of the best and imaginative salads that I had ever followed by a delicious butterfly Kaiser Scharm. Huge portions, friendly service and incredible views.

Great food, great views and a good play ground with bouncy castle for kids. Prices reasonable and the perfect place to sit and relax in the summer sun. Toilets spotless and lots of seating. Great place

Half hour wait for a drink! Perhaps a few more staff on when busy and it’s a Saturday and the suns shining??!!

We visited Gipfo Hit on two occasions on our recent ski trip, one for coffee and beer and the second for lunch. The staff on both occasions were really friendly, smiley and very helpful, and all spoke English, although we did attempt to order in German, I suspect unsuccessfully as the staff's responses were in English!! We had the liver dumpling in a beef broth. I had taken a fancy to the dumplings in beef broth and aimed to sample a different flavored one each day. At Gipfo Hit it was the turn of the liver dumpling ... yum yum. It was almost like a mild haggis in a dumpling, I know that all sounds odd to the British palate and our take on a dumpling but oh my goodness it really works very well indeed, specially after a full morning skiing and sitting outdoors on the top of a snowy white mountain, perusing the stunning panoramic jagged mountain range views bathed in glorious sunshine! There is tons of outdoor seating, and the views are truly spectacular as long as its clear!

This was our first hike and we took a bit of a detour, but it was well worth it when we got to the top. Ate the famous 'Kaiserschmarren '. Great service and fantastic location.
