Bidrage med feedbackIt brings me pleasure to write this glowing review. Was walking past and saw a sign for a pulled pork sandwich. The outside looked appealing. Looks like a place you'd find in the Bronx. I was rewarded. For a bit of time I was in the USA you imagine in the movies but rarely actually run across. Food excellent. Beer recommendation to accompany spot on. If there are drawbacks, it would be that it's a small place. It's not meant for loitering. You come here for business. It closes at 18:00. Let's consider my visit a long lunch. I see more in my future. Limited menu. One dish actually depending on the day. But it's made so well you won't care. Unless you a vegetarian, the your out of luck.
Flat out the best Burger and Beer in the City! Flip it, cook it, stack it up and serve it to me outside. I will eat this burger (Big Bang with chili) anywhere and anytime! The trick it to come on Fridays ' as its the only day burgers are served at Verde. Don 't be thrown off by the big green sign outside; it 's a decoy to throw off the tourists! Once inside you will see hundreds of international beers , spices and some vegies. It 's a really laid back setting with very limited seating to be ready to stand, while eating for drinking, but it 's worth it... 100%! The Texan!!
After being recommended by Joe H., I had to give their burger a try. I agree that Verde 1080 has a really great burger and one of the best in town. Even though I'm giving Verde and their burger 5-stars, there's always room for improvement. Despite my small gripes below, I still think this was a truly excellent burger deserving of the 5-star rating. There is a huge, tasty beef patty that's even bigger than the bun. I chose to add bacon to my burger, which really wasn't necessary. The patty was so big and meaty, that the bacon was lost next to it. I did like how the bacon was positioned below the meat though (most places pile it on top). The bun was toasted, which I love, but the juices from the burger quickly soaked the bottom half. No matter, just flip the burger upside down and keep going. The meat was juicy and fell apart a little as I reached the halfway point of the burger. The center of the burger was red (somewhere between an American medium-rare and rare), which I didn't mind but others might. Not sure if they always cook their burgers that way or mine was especially undercooked but it's hard enough to find a medium-rare burger in Wien that I welcomed the change. If this freaks you out, ask for your burger medium-well and you should be fine. Also, the first few bites of the burger were really salty on my tongue, but this went away pretty quickly. Not sure if this was from the bacon or not. The burgers come with fries or a salad and I happily opted for the salad. It was a fresh slaw of cabbage, carrot, and a light dressing. They have an incredible craft beer selection, with imports from around Europe, the UK, Canada, and a few from the US too. The beer prices aren't cheap, but the quality and import duties make them a fair price. The staff were super friendly and even gave beer recommendations to help with their overwhelming beer selection. The place is small, but has the feeling of a neighborhood place. During the winter, the unheated, high-ceilinged room was a bit chilly.
Was perfect my teamwork and I enjoyed everything.
Very, very disappointed! apparently no fresh products, it didn't taste me at all, even it was bad after eating. I will never order again!
