Hofbräu Zum Rathaus - Wien

Stopped here on the way into the city as it was shaded and cool. Outside seating available and my friend ordered a good white beer and I had cold soft drinks. Cheerful and friendly staff were preparing large tables for evening party. Would go again.

Excellent accueil à plus de 15 heures pour le déjeuner.Spécialités locales, notamment le fameux Schnitzel et de très copieux hamburgers.Brasserie typique spécialisée dans la bière, avec également une carte des vins. Très bon. Nous avons passé un agréable moment.

Wiener Schnitzel so dünn, wie Papier und in der Friteuse gebraten. Für nur ein nur aus Panade bestehendes stückchen Fleisch ein recht teurer Preis. Auch die Schweinshaxe wurde mal kurz in der Friteuse aufgewärmt. Das war garnicht Hofbräu like. Nie wieder....

Heute nach dem Vienna City Marathon... dröhnende Apres-Ski Beschallung im Gastgarten, Bier aus dem Fass (*freu*)gezapft im Plastikbecher um € 5,-- (*wiebitte*?)Danke, genug gesehen...

I stopped here after visiting the HBs in Berlin and Munich. This relates itself as an HB to Munich but it isn't. It doesn't have common tables but restaurant type settings. There was no music playing, very quiet and frankly it was boring. Disappointing and not what I expected. Food was okay. There are better places in Vienna to visit
