We arrived at 5:55 p.m. and were seated at the bar at 6:10, even though two tables in the dining room had opened up but were not cleaned. We placed our order around 6:20 or 6:25, and our server brought out the salad bar plate about five minutes later. We had ordered the special, chicken fried steak, with plans to share. By 6:45, she informed us that our dinner would be out shortly. Since we had tickets to a concert, we asked her to bring the check along with a to-go box. At 6:55, we noticed that another table, which had arrived 20 minutes after us, was served their food. Finally, at 7:00, she brought our meal. We quickly ate some of it and packed the rest in the to-go box, leaving just in time for the concert with only 10 minutes to spare. There is really no reason that a chicken fried steak should take 40 minutes to arrive. It looked good but we had to rush through it, so we didn’t get to enjoy the flavor. Right after we received our food, the table next to us also got their chicken fried steak, despite having arrived at least 20 minutes later than us. It seems our server either forgot to put in our order or the kitchen misplaced it. We might give this restaurant another try, but definitely not when we have concert tickets. We thought an hour and a half would be sufficient for a meal before the concert, but that wasn’t the case here.
