Bidrage med feedbackI use to eat here when the restaurant was across the street at the old location years ago. Finally wanting to try it again and man it was a disappointment. Walked in and there were maybe 4 other tables with customers. The waiter was also the host. The enthusiasm was super low but we were seated quickly. Waiter said they would be back in a minute to get our drinks while we got situated and looked at the menu. 10 minutes passed and the waiter finally comes back. We ordered everything at once considering how long it took for him to come back. It was clear they had a lot of to-go orders. Some folks even came in and ordered. There were easily 10 or more to-go boxes sitting on the counter by sushi chefs. Eventually I saw a plate of food meant for a dine-in customer. The plate sat there for like another 10 minutes before our waiter (the only waiter at the time) picked it up and delivered it to a table. Couldn 't really tell you what he was doing during the 10 minutes between the orders. The other people that were eating at the restaurant were also just waiting for the their food for who knows how long. Some of them looked like they were waiting for a while. What 's annoying is a lady coming in and placing an order (looked at a menu and named off what she wanted) getting her food before we got ours, even though we placed our order like 5 minutes before she got there. After waiting another 10 minutes or so, finally got our food. Got four rolls (one had the fire boat thing which he placed in front of our 9 month old), chicken katsu would come out later, and tempura to come out like 10 minutes after getting our rolls. When I asked the waiter if the tempura was on it 's way he responded with Yeah. Awesome... Not sure if that is his auto response answer to everything as he used it everytime we talked to him, but yea it 's not awesome but do you I guess. Eventually it came out. Food was decent. Not what I remembered but not awful. Eventually the kids were starting to lose their cool. The waiter came by and asked if we needed anything else. Then said he would bring the check. 10 minutes pass by and he finally gets the check. Another 10 minutes of waiting for him to pick it up but he never came by. I just went to the register and paid so I could get out of there. Okay food but the service was awful for not a busy restaurant, at least dining wise. All the employees looked like miserable. Which I get, it 's work but there was no energy. The robotic cat that serves drinks had more energy. Will not be coming back again.
I walked in and the server appeared less than thrilled to see me. She was even more upset I was ordering take out. I ordered a spicy tuna salad, French fries (the toddler) and udon with beef. Full stop. The beef was like jerky. So hard to chew. It was $4.00 to add beef I wouldn't even consider feeding my kids. The tuna salad is not worth the $14. It had less tuna than a can thereof. It did taste good but the mixed vegetables looked more like an old bag of Walmart lettuce. I paid $46 for this and it was less than subpar. Go else where.
This restaurant was an all-around great experience; the service, food, drinks, and the atmosphere were top notch. This is the kind of place you would go to have a nice date with your significant other and order a bunch of delicious food without breaking the bank. I have already added this place to my favorites.
Tried a Philly roll for the first time.. did not like it. The snow crab roll was very refreshing! Not anything worth coming back for, just Wichita sushi. Good service even though the cat machine was kinda pointless.
I've visited the west-side location twice now and have been consistently impressed with both the food and service. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and has a lovely atmosphere. I tend to prefer traditional sushi over rolls, but they do offer some rolls that caught my attention and tasted great. The sashimi portions were above average and very fresh, especially considering it's Wichita. The only downside was the absence of quail eggs, and like many other sushi places in Wichita, they also don't serve uni. Overall, I would rank it among my top three sushi spots in Wichita. Kudos!
