Jade Garden Chinese - Why

I recently moved away from my normal Chinese restaurant and found that Jade Garden was fairly close to me. I found one of their menus online and their prices were very good. However when I went to pick up what I ordered instead of expecting 18 to $20 of food it was approximately $33. For beef and broccoli and chicken fried rice that is a very high price. While their food was great, I probably will not go back due to the cost. They lost my business.

I am thankful this place made it through the takeout-only interim that Covid caused. My husband and I find the food HOT, served relatively quickly, they are wonderful about personalizing an order, and the prices can't be beat. It's just a little hole-in-the-wall place, but we find the food immensely satisfying.

My partner and I ordered Beef Pad Thai, Beef Fried Rice, and the Thai Tea. Service was nice and fast.Beef Pad Thai: I did not really enjoy this. Too much sauce, and the noodle was not the normal flat pad Thai noodle it was thin similar to Angel Hair but rectangular and made from rice.Beef Fried Rice: if you like beef and fried rice, you will like this.Thai Tea: Not good. Tasted like licorice to me, and tasted like sweet cereal water to my partner. It lacked the black tea flavor I've been searching for at restaurants (nothing I have found has come close to the real homemade deal, this place included).

This is a little mom pop place in a strip mall. Their delivery and pick-up service was hopping. I was a little concerned at first because the place needs some deep cleaning. The decorations are pretty dusty and old, but the food is fantastic! I recommend the Lo Mein.

I love Jade Garden for take out, last night I worked an extremely long shift and only got a few hours sleep. I fell asleep before my delivery could arrive and I could pay, I came to pay today because it way my mistake and they insisted on remaking my meal, so much kindness from the owner who came to deliver. He even remembered my order, I’m so impressed and grateful, I definitely recommend this place. (Seriously try their teriyaki chicken! ;
