Growling Frog Restaurant - Whittlesea

We received excellent service and enjoyed delicious chips at Growling Frog! We stopped by to warm up after visiting Yan Yean Reservoir and were impressed by the prompt and friendly staff, even though we arrived between meals. Although chips were not listed on the menu, they happily accommodated our request. The portion size was generous and the chips were hot and crunchy. We left very satisfied and grateful for the hospitality. Thank you!

The location is lovely with picturesque views overlooking the golf course and hills in the background. The food was delicious and made with fresh ingredients, particularly noticeable with the deep-fried elements of the dish. The portion sizes were generous and the service was excellent. However, at the end of the meal, when I asked for a take away box, I was given a washed box that was still wet and had a sticker on it that said 'penne'. It seemed like they accidentally gave me a box from their kitchen storage. Despite this small incident, my overall experience was good and I would definitely visit again. It would be nice to see a few more options added to the brunch menu.

Attended Growling Frog Restaurant for mother's day. Had the two course Mother's day lunch. The lamb shanks were amazing they just melted in the mouth. Service was exceptional and staff went out of their way. The lovely chef also checked in to see that we were happy with our meal. would highlt recommend Growling Frog to others.

Friendly service, good food and great views. Kids loved seeing the kangaroos.
