Bunkers Cafe, Bar and Bistro

On a summer day in Western Australia, we enjoyed breathtaking views of the pristine white sandy beach while savoring an incredible seafood dish at this restaurant. It was truly an amazing experience!

The atmosphere at this restaurant is wonderful and the staff is very friendly. The coffee was delicious and I definitely need to come back for a meal or two.

We went to the jan yean road and found aumanns kindergarten. very pleasant. then we drove along this road and passed on the golf course in yarrambat. what a surprise. the club house is located in the middle of trees, there are many parking spaces and the bunkers...Cafe looks at the acres of the beautiful golf course and trees. the most important aspect for us was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. they were all so nice. we sat in the sun with a look at the cursor and they had a special one on the day that was ridiculously reasonable always to pay a bonus! this was quiche lorraine with a delicious varied salad. then a big coffee. just the perfect amount for a lunchtime place. go and try this place, it's really a sound. much better than rivers near and so close to ivanhoe and heidelberg.

I celebrated my birthday with my family at this restaurant and had a completely different experience from the previous review. I was very disappointed with the long wait for our meals, especially when we had ordered fish and chips for the kids right away and asked for the chicken parma to be brought out as soon as it was ready. Unfortunately, my son had to leave before his medium-well steak arrived. He ended up receiving his meal at least 30 minutes before the rest of us did, despite the waiter asking us if we had enjoyed our meals (which we hadn't even received yet). The two medium-well steaks we ordered were overcooked and dry, as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. The 27-year-old son described the chicken parma as average. When we asked for an earlier booking time (due to our young children), we were told to come later as they were expecting a large group. However, this group arrived after us and only had about 10 people with a set menu. The waitress seemed surprised to see half-eaten meals when clearing the table, and asked if there was an issue. We reluctantly mentioned the overcooked and dry steaks, and a meal was removed from the bill as compensation. I had planned to bring a group of eight back for dinner, but after this experience, we decided to try another restaurant. While our previous experiences for dinner and breakfast were good, this disappointing third experience may deter me from returning.

Had dinner last night here with one friend. Was very pleasantly surprised at the quality and amount of the food. My friend had purchased a voucher on line so two entrees, two main courses and two glasses of wine were included for $49. Coffee was...extra. We both had the Salted Calamari entree, which came out steaming hot and the Calamari was so tender. The side sauce/aioli whatever you call it was tasty and went well with the Calamari. I then had the Surf and Turf, yes the dearest item on the menu was not excluded from the voucher like some other places. The Garlic Prawns and the steak were very well cooked and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The dressing on the salad was interesting. Maybe I should have ordered that on the side, next time I will as I will go back here. The meals were certainly generous. I could not eat all the chips that were on the plate. These had been freshly cooked and were really nice chips. My friend had slow cooked lamb shanks from the Specials board and said they were beautiful. Bunkers Cafe is located on the Yarrambat Golf Course so while we ate we had the view of the kangaroos on the fairway and a lovely view of the sunset. Table we sat at next to the window got a bit cold when the sun went down, so we moved to a table next to the fire for coffee. All over this was great value with the voucher in a delightful setting. Would highly recommend, hope they keep this cook and don't make too many changes.
