The Patio At Mcguiggan's - Whitman

My first visit wasn't terrible, just mediocre, so I decided to give it another try. The decor is quite stylish, but unfortunately, the food and service left a lot to be desired. I ordered the Mediterranean salad with chicken, but the chicken was lacking in seasoning and was quite dry. My husband chose the steak tips, which were served cold. We also had to wait 15 minutes for our cocktails, and the waitress never offered us any water. While she was friendly, she wasn't particularly attentive. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

It took nearly 20 minutes for anyone to take our drink order, and when they did, they left before we could order appetizers. After another 10 minutes, we received just three of our four drinks (water, Sprite, and a beer), with the fourth beer unavailable. We then placed a new drink order but, again, almost 10 minutes went by without receiving our drinks or being able to place any food order. After waiting a bit longer, we decided to approach the bar to settle our tab and leave. The server asked if we no longer wanted the beer, to which we replied we had indeed ordered it quite some time ago. There was no mention of being short-staffed or any heads-up that the service might be slow—something we noticed was affecting other tables around us as well. In the end, we paid about $10 for our drinks with no acknowledgment of the disappointing experience. For now, I'll stick to the pub side. Update (April 21, 2022): A manager reached out to explain what happened that night and even sent a gift card to make up for the experience. I truly appreciate the gesture, and we will give them another chance.

The food here is consistently excellent. As a chicken wing enthusiast, I can confidently say that the wings at Patios are fantastic. I've also tried the cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, and salads, and every meal has been fresh and delicious. This is a great place to dine!

The food was excellent! I tried the goat cheese and fig jam flatbread, and I would definitely recommend it. I really enjoyed the atmosphere—so many restaurants are dark and cramped, but this one felt like an open, bright atrium. The service was outstanding too. I accidentally left behind half of my pizza when I walked out, and when I called to see if it was still there, they generously offered to make me a brand new pizza at no cost. I thought that was incredibly nice of them. I will definitely be returning!

I had a wonderful experience, especially with the live music! The food was good, typical of bar fare. For my dining experience, I had dinner and the price per person was around $20–30. I would rate the food a 4, the service a 3, and the atmosphere a solid 5.
