Las Pena Mexican - Whitesburg

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant for lunch yesterday, driving 45 minutes to get there, only to be extremely disappointed. Upon arriving, we noticed that everyone was seated together in a cramped manner, so we had to request a different table. After ordering, our food arrived in just 3-4 minutes, clearly microwaved and tasting terrible. The chicken on my plate looked unappetizing and the service was awful. Our waitress was rude and admitted to simply reheating our food for a quick service. I would ask for a refund, but I assume the manager would be just as bad. I will never return to this restaurant again as it was a waste of time and money.

This restaurant was amazing. The salsa was fresh and the chips were hot. The tacos were delicious. All I need now is a nap. I will definitely be returning.

This place was excellent when they first opened. It's literally went to the dogs. Chicken and beef are too tough to chew. No flavor or seasoning on the food. Way overpriced too.. I raked the leftovers out to my hound and he lapped it up. Lol
