Bella Italy - WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS

We stopped by on June 12, 2023, but the restaurant was closed. The interior looked like it was being remodeled and was in disarray. Unfortunately, there was no additional information available.

Then there was the pasta dish we ordered, which included shells, ravioli, and other pasta—unfortunately, it tasted freezer-burnt and resembled something from a can, so it doesn't deserve much more attention. The calzone was just an empty bread pocket; it had absolutely nothing inside. As much as my family and I were looking forward to a nice Friday night at Bella Italia, we were let down by the limited menu and the overall quality. What we ended up settling for was truly disappointing and reflected poorly on the restaurant. I would rate it a 3 out of 10 and do not recommend it.

I've tried this place three times, and each time the food was overcooked and the portions were laughably small.

After waiting an additional 1.5 hours, we called them for an update, and they said our food was taking longer than expected. When we called again after another 1.5 hours, they told us they hadn’t even started our order. By this point, the restaurant was about to close. They promised to make our food and issue a refund for our 3-hour wait. We continued to wait for a call that never came, so we went back to the restaurant a second time, only to find that the food still wasn't ready. We ended up waiting another 45 minutes before it was finally prepared. They once again promised to refund us, but what they considered a refund was only a 15% discount. On top of that, the food turned out to be mediocre, at best. Unless you have 4-5 hours to spare for a meal, I strongly advise you to avoid this establishment. My friends and I will never return due to the appalling customer service we experienced.

As we continued to wait, we called again after another hour and discovered that they hadn't even started preparing our food. By that point, the restaurant was getting ready to close. They assured us that they would make our order and issue a refund for our lengthy wait. However, after waiting for a call that never came, we decided to return to the restaurant, only to find that our food was still not ready. We waited another 45 minutes before it was finally prepared. They once again promised a refund, but their idea of a refund was just a 15% discount. To top it all off, the food was mediocre at best. Unless you're willing to spend 4-5 hours waiting for a meal, I recommend steering clear of this place. My friends and I will definitely not be returning due to the terrible customer service we experienced.
