Eggsmart - Whitby

A few months ago, I went to a restaurant to pick up breakfast. The waitress who took my order over the phone had a completely different attitude when there was no tip involved. She was friendly and pleasant at first, but became cold and short when there was no tip. I don't believe someone should expect a tip just for doing their job. Additionally, the breakfast I ordered was nearly $17 before any tip, which I found to be overpriced for just 2 eggs and minimal service. I will not be returning to this restaurant as I believe it is overpriced for the amount of food provided and the poor service.

So this happened a few months back. i went to go pick up a breakfast. the waitress who literally did nothing but answer the phone to take my order had a major demeanor change when there was no tip involved for her. super nice and bubbly until no tip, then she became stone faced and fairly short. im sorry but you do not deserve a tip just for showing up to work. not to mention the breakfast BEFORE any tip tops out at nearly 17 dollars. way too over priced for 2 eggs and no service. 100% will not be returning. way too overpriced for the amount of food you get with terrible service.

So, first time at any Eggsmart. I love breakfast any time of day, so I was in already. Selection was much more extensive than anticipated. Thought it was more health focused eggs meals. Which it does have but much more...I had the Avacodo turkey with two eggs. No pictures this time as I was hungry and I cleared the decks pretty quick. That being said, the food was tasty and fresh. Very good!Toasted western was also a crowd pleaser! Good coffee and reasonably priced. I will be back. I want to try the Nashville Hot Chicken..... At Eggsmart? Wow! I will be back ..

I went to the restaurant this morning at 9am for pick up and was impressed by how quickly they prepared the food. However, both my breakfast potatoes and my boyfriend's were rotten. It seemed as though they were aware of this and tried to cover it up with excessive spices. The eggs and meat were fine, but the smell and taste of the potatoes made it clear that they were spoiled. I had to separate them from the rest of my meal because of the strong smell. I took a chance and ate one potato, hoping I wouldn't get sick. My boyfriend also confirmed that his potatoes were rotten. We paid $28.23 for just eggs and bacon, even though the menu photos showed that our meals were supposed to come with fruits, which we did not receive.

However, I was a bit disappointed with the food. I found the potatoes to be too soft for my liking, and the smoked salmon seemed more cooked than smoked, leading me to believe it may have been old. The waffles were decent, but nothing particularly special stood out. In terms of pricing, the average cost per person is around $20. Overall, I would rate my experience at this restaurant a 4 out of 5, with the service being good despite some rushed moments and the food being average.
