Best mince and onion pies I’ve had. I’ve been a pie eater all my life. Ate pies from many a butchers and shop around the North East. When they say who ate all the pies.. it was me! Especially if they were Gelders. Never really enjoyed pies since.

I always loved the pies from Gelder's. My favorite pie was the mince. Had just the right amount of Gravy. I'm sad to see them with such a low score. I'm giving the 5 stars, my mum still buy's their pies she says they are still as lovely as ever !

**** takes this company it’s took them 3 month to sort wages out and still nothing has been done ! Not one person who works in the place holds a food Hygiene or anything and they let people smoke drugs at the side of the building they need shutting down

The Gelder name was known to us from way back so over the past month or so we've tried their individual steak pies, steak and onion pie plate pie and mince plate pie. All have been very disappointing. In each case the pastry was too thick. With the steak pies there were no chunks of meat, which is what I would expect, it was simply mushy. In the case of the mince pie there was a very thin spread of mince over the base. None of the pies were at all flavoursome, in fact they were almost totally lacking in flavour. Regrettably we will definitely avoid them in future.

Pies taste like they have been grilled using a midgets rib cage and the mince taste like rotten toenails
