Oglebay Garden Bistro - Wheeling

Offering a farm-to-table dining area overlooking Oglebay?s Terrace Gardens, Oglebay Garden Bistro is the perfect spot to have a relaxing dinner. Their menu features regionally sourced produce, free-range chicken eggs, grass-fed beef, and handcrafted bread. One of the most impressive things about Oglebay is that it isn?t hard to find vegetarian-friendly food, including this delicious Garden Bistro Sandwich. I usually pass up dessert, but I couldn?t resist their Turtle Domes. So scrumptious! Not a vegetarian? I have heard that their vichyssoise is really good!

We went on a Friday night during the lights and it was a fantastic choice. The patio had heaters and we picked up a s'mores kit for the kids. There was a steady stream of people but it was never crowded and felt like we could take all the time in the world. Don't sleep on the food either! The grilled cheese was fantastic, with thick bacon and sourdough bread plus fresh kettle chips. My husband had chili and said it was delicious and spicy. Definitely check out this spot and then go see the mansion lights next door!

Nice bistro with a small food and drink menu but we always find something good here. The views from the patio goes well with the drinks! There is plenty of parking.

My husband and I had different salads with added chicken. Although a bit overpriced, they were both excellent. I would, however like to have seen a bit more of the dragonfruit in my salad. Server was very friendly.

Friendly waitress. Good food. Nice view. relaxing. Everything great last visits there. Nice drive from Pittsburgh to get away.
