Bidrage med feedbackWe tried a variety of appetizers and entrees at this restaurant. The Dal Ka Shorba, a pureed lentil soup, was very brothy and would be great with roti bread for a light lunch. The owners mentioned that their nan bread contains milk, but the roti is dairy-free. The vegetable samosa was delicious, but I didn't inquire about the shared fryer so I may not order it again. The Gobi Manchurian, breaded and fried cauliflower, was good but tasted somewhat like chicken, I'm not sure if it was just my imagination. The Vegetable Biryani, seasoned veggie rice, was very good and a generous portion. Our favorite dish was the Aloo Gobi, potatoes and cauliflower cooked with tomatoes, ginger, garlic, and herbs, a colorful and flavorful dish served with white rice. I will definitely order the Aloo Gobi and Roti Bread again. The owners were friendly, but I would recommend asking more questions about food preparation to ensure no cross-contamination for certain dishes. Overall, a great Indian food option for vegans in the far western suburbs.
We ordered a variety of appetizers at this restaurant. The dal ka soup was a pure, very flavorful lentil soup. It would be a good option for a light lunch when paired with roti bread. The owners mentioned that the broth was made with milk, but the roti bread is milk-free. The sweet samosa was delicious, but I am unsure about ordering it again as I forgot to ask about the fryer being used. The gobi manchurian (fried cauliflower) was good, but I found the flavor to be a bit unusual. I will need to inquire about the preparation before ordering it next time. The sweet biryani (seasoned vegetables) was very tasty and a great choice. Our favorite dish was the aloo gobi (highly recommended) which consisted of carrots and cauliflower cooked with tomato, ginger, garlic, and spices. It was flavorful, colorful, and delicious, served with white rice. I would definitely order the aloo gobi and roti bread again. The owners were friendly, but I would recommend asking more questions about food preparation to ensure there is no cross-contamination. Overall, this restaurant is a great option for vegan Indian food in the distant western suburbs.
