Bidrage med feedbackThe food here is very authentic. They serve one of the best wonton beef noodle soups and kingdom pork in this part of the city. The Brattaube and Viola wine are also up to par. I’ve been there many times and had dinner there last night. I wasn’t impressed with the salted fish chicken roasted rice or the eggplant salted fish casserole. However, the mussels in black bean sauce and the beef chow fun are highly recommended. The atmosphere and service are average, as one would expect from a Chinese restaurant, but it’s definitely not a hole-in-the-wall. It can get a bit cramped when it’s busy, but usually, it’s manageable. And when it’s packed, that’s definitely a good sign!
I give this place 4.5 stars for their authentic Cantonese/Hong Kong-style beef chow fun and wonton noodle soup (only $13). The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the soup was served hot and full of flavor. My mother always insists on dining here whenever she visits Florida, claiming it's the best wonton noodle soup she's had in the USA. They even offer a hard-to-find dish: ginger-suck blood stir fry. We’ve been coming here for over a decade, and after a hiatus due to COVID, I’m so glad we returned today. Don’t be put off by the old-fashioned decor; the food is what really matters. Plus, they have whole hanging roast ducks and the usual Cantonese fare. You can tell the chef is skilled because the food comes out quickly and fresh. Give this charming family restaurant a try!
I had the Cantonese egg noodle soup, and it was topped with the most tender viola wine I've ever tasted. You can also add the dumplings filled with pork and shrimp, which I highly recommend. The egg noodles were abundant and cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of chewiness. The highlight, however, was the simple yet savory flavor of the beef broth; it made me wish I had more room to enjoy it! This broth also had a subtle sweetness that I've never experienced in a soup before. All of these delightful flavors come together in just one bowl. Your menu is packed with so many authentic Cantonese dishes, so I encourage you to try something beyond General Tso's, although that's great too. I can't wait to come back!
Fine Chinese food. Nothing special, but a great place for those nights you want Chinese takeout. .. in these nights, this place is 5 stars; but generally it is a fixed--not spectacular spot to get Chinese.
Ate here today with my wife and you immediately know that the Chinese food is going to be good when the majority of people eating there are Chinese. It's in a strip mall and looks quite unassuming from the road, but the food was delicious, fresh and as food as anything I eat in NYC. Like NYC, they have whole roasted ducks, soy and ginger chickens and roast pork to order as appetizers, or to take out by the pound. Absolutely worth eating here if you're in the neighborhood. The service was great and the food is excellent. No wonder they got written up so many times.
