Erta Ale Ethiopian - Wheaton

I stumbled upon this fantastic restaurant while heading to another destination, and I'm so glad I did! It was my first experience with Ethiopian cuisine, and I decided to give it a try. The atmosphere was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend it!

So delicious! I ordered for the pick-up, but I could say that the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious. The vegetarian dish is so good, I can't wait to eat it again!

I enjoyed my visit. The server gave enough attention, expected my expectations and was polite. It is not so often that you can see a proactive server in any restaurant that made the service an interesting experience. The place seems like an authentic Ethiopian restaurant. The food was also delicious. I would definitely visit again.

The food was excellent and reasonably priced, though there was a lack of vegetables. Unfortunately, it took about 30 minutes for our meals to arrive, and my friend's tea, which was ordered alongside other drinks, only made it to the table when we received the check. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, so it shouldn't have been an issue with volume. While the place appeared fairly clean, it had a strong chemical scent reminiscent of a Glade plug-in, which was quite off-putting. Overall, I would rate it around 3.5 stars. The food and the staff's helpfulness were in the 4 to 5-star range, but the restaurant's ambiance and the timing of the service brought it down to a 2 to 3-star experience.

This was one of my favorite places when I lived in Maryland. I stumbled upon it by chance one day and decided to stop in for a late breakfast. The food was incredible, and the owner, Solomon, was very welcoming. We chatted as he shared with me the traditions of coffee in Ethiopia. I enjoyed it so much that I began visiting about once a month after that. Coming here felt less like dining at a restaurant and more like being invited to a friend's home for a meal, complete with homemade cooking and engaging conversation.
