Handsome Frog Gourmet Foods - Whangarei

I just had the best ever pie of my life here. The beef steak SO tasty with tender meat and a flavoursome real gravy sauce that i can't do justice in describing. The pastry was light and tasty, very different to the gluggy or puff pastry of most pies. Can't recommend this place highly enough. The service was super friendly and coffee as good or better than most places. Shame I live in Auckland and won't get to visit very often!

Have been eating delicious Handsome Frog sourdough bread since I arrived in Whangarei 9 months ago! Now they have opened their lovely store, my family and i have sampled most of their gorgeous breads, rolls, bagels and delicious sweet treats. Oreo brownies and custard brioche being firm favourites with my kids Wonderful service from lovely people, all to happy to help. Thank you.

I walked in and straight away i was greeted with big smiles and jokes, the service was amazing and the food was even better, if i could give them more than five stars i would.

You get what you pay for is my motto. The Steak and Bluecheese Pie is amazing. Right amount of Bluecheese not too overpowering. The pie is full of tender, juicy steak, the pastry is baked correctly. Definitely with the money.
