Adriatic Fisheries - Whangarei

The fish was exceptionally fresh and expertly prepared. We had the best fried oysters we've ever tasted, and the smoked mullet was outstanding. The staff at the counter provided excellent service! I can't wait to return.

We ordered for 4 people (4 pieces of snapper/1 scoop of chips) $38 total. Which I considered a steal considering how wonderfully the food was cooked. The fish was fresh, lightly battered and not greasy at all. The chips were also light, crispy and not dripping with excess oil. The staff working here are also fantastic, friendly and happy to answer questions. Will be back next time we’re in town from Auckland, I’ll be spreading word about this place among whānau all over too!

I just want to make a huge 'hell yeah ' shout out to the staff at Adriatic fisheries! This place is my go to fish and chip shop now. The staff are so bubbly polite and happy. The food is a and the attitude tops the charts of rating! Keep it up guys you rock

Best Chicken Burger in Whangarei!!! Awesome service and nice to have a burger loaded with salad, coleslaw and beetroot. Will definitely be back

We brought our own fish to be cooked, and we had a good feeling about the place even before we arrived—and we weren't disappointed! The next day, we picked up a smoked mullet for lunch, and it was simply perfect. The flavors are wonderfully traditional.
