The Comm. - Whakatane

I went to this restaurant with a group of 20 people and we sat in the quieter area towards the back. The service was good and I enjoyed the delicious twice-cooked pork belly. It was really yummy and tender.

My sister uses a walker and cannot navigate stairs, so a staff member kindly directed us to a side entrance at the restaurant. Thanks to their assistance, my sister felt at ease, was able to relax, and we had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The service and food were excellent, thanks to the attentive staff.

It was crazy noisy today as there were 2 other functions on at the Comm. I would recommend not booking if two other functions are booked but our meals were served in good time, the food was fab, and the staff were friendly even though they were rushed off their feet.

This place does not disappoint! We made a last minute booking for a party of 17 and the food and service were outstanding! Well done to the super attentive staff popping over and asking how our meals were etc.

Travelled from Taranaki and had a cousin who was doing the gown walk through town for her graduation. A table of 8 adults and 5 kids/toddlers/infants went here, which was just up the road from Maatatua marae. The food was delicious! I ordered the eggs Benedict for me and the waffles for my son. All was perfect!! The food come out relatively fast considering a few people had ordered before me. Will definitely eat here again if I had the opportunity and I recommend to all.
