Huddle House - WETUMPKA

I hadn't been to Huddle House in over a year or two due to Covid-19, but the experience was fantastic. There were four of us and a baby, and we all really enjoyed the food and service. A big thank you to the very friendly staff at Huddle House! - Philippians 4:13

My husband and I went for breakfast on Saturday. The servers were great but the food was horrible. My husband and I had omelettes. His hash browns were rancid and the onion, green pepper and tomatoes weren’t cooled. They must have used some kind of bad oil to cook the hash browns. My omelette was supposed to have ham, bacon and sausage. There were probably three little cubes of ham and honestly, I don’t think it had sausage but hamburger! It had no sausage taste. The onions and tomatoes were not cooked. The omelette was swimming in grease. I think they put the onion and tomatoes in butter and then dumped it in the omelette. The grits and biscuit were really good, but I don’t plan to go there again.

The order was fine, but everything else was a disaster. We arrived at 9:45 with a party of eight and asked what time they closed. The lady said midnight, so we decided to stay. It took 15 minutes to get a drink, and another 15 minutes to get our drinks. Then she informed us they were actually closing at 10:00. She had to scratch our order on an old entrance and then disappeared for a while to argue with the chefs in the kitchen. Private things were almost shouted through the whole restaurant. My wife had to go to the kitchen to get all the food because the waitress was nowhere to be found. Three orders of chocolate milk? One child ordered sweet tea, but it was so bad that we discovered they had run out and substituted honey in regular tea. It was a random dining experience, but overall the food was okay. However, I will not be returning to this restaurant next time I am in Wetumpka.

Our party of 4 did not receive 2 of our orders at this restaurant. When I asked for my order to be fixed, they initially said it was taken care of, but I had to show the menu to the cook for them to believe me. My sisters-in-law also had issues with their orders. It took a long time for us to get the correct food. While the taste was okay, the overall experience was not worth it. I will not be returning to this restaurant. I do not appreciate when the menu is not accurately followed and staff try to make me feel uninformed. Very unprofessional!

The food was excellent. I didn't have huddle long. the food came out quickly and hot! nice that we found this place near the casino.
