Chipotle Mexican Grill - Wethersfield

I visited Chipotle for the first time and had a positive experience overall. The service was good, but the food was a bit hit or miss. My steak was tough, although the tacos were delicious. Despite that, I enjoyed my visit and would be willing to give it another try.

I visit this Chipotle fairly regularly, and overall, I don't have many complaints. About 90% of the time, my order is spot on. Occasionally, they may substitute items when they run out, but it’s not a big deal. The major drawback is the manager. I don’t know his name, but he's a man with a tattoo on his right forearm and glasses. Unfortunately, he is quite rude to his employees and embodies everything you wouldn’t want in a manager. He tends to harass his staff and complains that they aren’t quick enough, all while just standing around and providing no support. I've even seen customers address him directly, saying that his behavior is inappropriate for a manager.

Honestly, staff used to be better. Multiple times orders were just scraps of lettuce thrown on some rice. Plastic ramekins are usually open and spill all over the bag. Couldn’t get the hot sauce smell out for a couple days. One time they even forgot the chicken to my kids meal lmao. Drive over to the Glastonbury location if you have the time.

I understand it's a Friday night and everyone wants to go home but I believe it does a huge disservice to the customers that come in for a late meal, an hour before closing. The chipotle crew decided to close early and clean out their stoves early, claiming they are out of certain things. I understand 15 minutes before closing but a whole hour should not compromise product availability and quality of service. Management, please take note.

No lettuce, no sour cream, most sodas out of order, no white rice. Asked manager if I could get guacamole in my bowl to substitute for not having sour cream and was told no. Chips were stale. Also thank goodness I had my card because they didn’t take cash unless you had the exact amount.
