The Miners Lamp Restaurant - Weston

We have been frequenting this restaurant for years. The current chef is doing a great job with keeping the food clean and delicious. I must admit, the portion sizes are generous and perfect for sharing with two or more people. The leftovers can easily be taken home for another meal. I wasn't a fan of the lunch specials though. The dessert was disappointing and didn't add anything special to the meal.

The portions were very generous, the service was fast, and the prices were good. I am excited to return. The shared plates were all too large for one person to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with any requests.

On the plus side, the service was very fast when we ordered takeout (15 minutes) and the price was good. However, the sauce on two of the meals was thick and sticky, but I could taste too much baking soda and cornflour on the meat pieces. The fried rice was pale and bland, but the Singapore noodles were pretty good. There weren't really any surprises in any of the dishes.

I had lunch here, what a meal. the lunchtime and the black board offers are fantastic. the price is very reasonable. the service is great and friendly. club is very nice and quiet. if you want and if you are a big eater, this is the place to go.

Went out with a group of friends ordered our meal at 6pm was bought out at 7:30pm hubby and I both ordered the surf and turf mine was with vegetables my vegetables were cold whole meal was disgusting will not return will admit there...was only one young girl doing everything from taking orders to serving maybe you need to employ more staff to cater for busy nights
