Tavern on the Square - Westmount

We had lunch on a beautiful terrasse. Lunch menu was varried and included soup and salad/fries. Soup was outstanding. Portions just right for lunch. Servive was efficient, friendly and unobtrusive.

It's a really nice venue, staff is friendly. We were 6 and ordered just a bottle of wine and a main course each. No appetizers and the bill came to $300 plus tax. Food is good, no complaints but it's just way to expensive.

Meal was good...service excellent..very noisy..grossy overpriced! Many other restaurants have food just as good or better and nowhere near as expensive especially for the size of the servings

I have visited this restaurant twice for business and had great food, excellent service and a calm and (business) conducive atmosphere! Easy to get to via Metro or car or walking!

Food- 4 starsService- 4 starsDecor- 3.5 starsWe were 3 couples and were looking forward to a great dinner. We started with cocktails from the bar which were well made and delicious. For starters, my buddies has the 10 vegetable chicken soup and an endive salad which were good and nice portions. I had the tuna tartare for $22 which was also good and had a nice kick to it. The issue was with the portions of some of the main courses. It seemed like the expensive dishes were small portions and the cheaper dishes had larger portions. Considering the difference in price, that didn't make sense. My wife loved her halibut plate for $38 but was still hungry. She isn't a big eater but said it should have been twice the size. I ordered the 23 ounce rib steak for $69 and would have loved to had a food scale with me because I think it was more like 16 ounces. FYI, that is the smallest rib steak they had on their daily steak menu. It was cooked to my liking. The two other wives took the salmon tartare starter as a meal for $20. My two buddies has the pasta plates and they were quite large and they were around $28. Three of us had the key lime pie and it was delicious. Our waitress Maarika and the whole wait staff were very professional, pleasant and courteous. Overall a pleasant evening but a little disappointed.
