Bidrage med feedbackI live in the neighborhood and the place seemed empty every time I passed by, so out of pity more than anything else, I decided to give it a try with a friend. We get there at 7:40pm on a Thursday and are told that the restaurant is closed. I didn't think that I heard correctly, but it turns out that I did.I was told that the restaurant closed at 8:30 and that they wouldn't have time to serve us. I mentioned that we were hungry and didn't need to linger, but they basically refused to serve us.
Don't be deceived by their look of the restaurant. It's pretty small and usually not many people are there but I will tell you their sushi is great. They usually have some sushi in the refrigerator but I order fresh sushi on the counter. Even if you decide to dine in, they will give you a plastic plates and utensils which isn't so pleasant but the sushi is great! You can think of this place as more of a cafeteria than a restaurant.
Good sushi at good prices with very friendly staff. Fairly extensive menu for sushi, sashimi and rolls. Eat in or order ahead for takeout.
This restaurant is a great spot for lunch, offering sushi at a lower price compared to other sushi restaurants located east of Greene Avenue. It is perfect for a quick and delicious sushi lunch if you are in the area for business. While Nagoya does have some seating available, it is more common to take the food to go. Prices in 2018 ranged from $6.00 to $12.00 for pre-made sushi plates containing 6-14 pieces, or you can also place an order for pick-up.
The staff at this restaurant are friendly and they serve great sushi at a reasonable price. I have no complaints. Just because the decor is not fancy doesn't take away from the quality of the food. It's amusing how some people are willing to pay more for smaller portions of sushi just because it's served in a fancier setting.
