Bidrage med feedbackI had eaten there 2x with a group. It was outstanding, until I went back got a carry out on a Monday PM. It was so terrible that I threw it out. I called, asked if Monday chef was the same.one as the weekend. I was told yes. I couldn't believe it was the same chef from the weekend. I had planned on bringing a group of 10 on some Saturday night, but I won't take the chance of the food being as bad as it was on a Monday night. Very disappointing. Based on posted reviews, it appears that things started going downhill about 6 months or so.
We ordered a take out with Uber Eats. My wife who is a vegetarian ordered Stir Fried Mixed Vegetable with Tofu. They added sea shell sauce and oyster sauce to it. We re-checked the menu to see if we mis-read the labels. We were right. There were no labels that mentioned they were adding oyster sauce. Other vegetarian dishes did mention the oyster sauce. If you are ordering from this place make you double check the ingredients or speak to the person who is taking the order. I ordered Thai Pepper Steak. The meat was definitely not fresh. This place definitely needs improvement in a lot of areas.Vegetarian options: They added oyster sauce and sea shells sauce to the stir fried mixed vegetable order. There were no labels showing the addition of oyster sauce or sea shells sauce.
Ordered take out, just two orders of Pad See Ew, one chicken and one beef. Was told the total was $26.26 but got credit card receipt and the total was $27.17, pointed it out and got no apology, just an “Oh yeah”. Then got home to eat and it was not good. Very disappointing Pas See Ew. I’d avoid this place.
I moved out of the area about 2 years ago. Back then I was an avid visitor. I was very disappointed after driving out of my way to return. I ordered the pepper steak spicy and a cucumber salad. After a while the young guy who took my order came back up front and asked “you wanted no tomatoes right?” I said, I do and I just asked for it spicy. Not even two minutes later he surfaces with my bag to go.I see a cup of chili sauce so that tells me the spicy didn’t happen until I reminded him. No biggie. I get home to find no tomatoes either. This was no longer a mistake now. This was blatant laziness. Why ask me? To make it worse I find a sticker from the peppers in my food and the steak was completely dry and chewy. The cucumber salad was basically just diced cucumbers with no taste. My boyfriend ended up putting ranch on them.I won’t be returning after the intentional laziness. Must be the same crew messing up the egg rolls in the other reviews! Fire him.
For sure this pretty small Thai restaurant in Westmont was better than expected. It looked like it was going to be some cheap counter order place, judging by the strip mall location. Baisi Thai is actually a pretty nice looking one, even though it's clearly run on the cheap. Maybe the food isn't as nice as the pictures, and maybe the portions aren't as big as they let on. The food still tasted better than we thought it would be though. Came at lunch. It was quiet and there was no one else eating inside, which could have been a bad sign. This was also on the weekend. Maybe it's just because of the location. This is on 63rd a ways from the shopping center with Mariano's and stuff. Boring looking area. It's about $11 for an entree. Good prices, cheaper than at many other Thai restaurants apparently. I got the Pad Kee Mao. This is flat rice noodles with basil, garlic, and mixed vegetables. Choose a protein. I got tofu. Good spice but it was a pretty small portion. She got the Pad Thai. Again, small portion. That's why it was so cheap it seems. Better than expected as far as flavor, as it can get pretty hot. It's overall good with the only bad thing about it is they skimp on the portions. There's plenty of choices for vegans and vegetarians.
