I visit this place mainly for the Vietnamese coffee, which is incredibly strong and delicious. I also really enjoy her bánh bao (meat buns); I can't remember the exact name, but they are absolutely fantastic! It's definitely worth a visit, but keep in mind that they only accept cash, so make sure to bring some with you!
I'm visiting Texas, and my cousin lives right behind the Plaza where Gala Bakery is located. My family has always raved about her coffee, so I knew I had to give it a try. Wow... your coffee is amazing—definitely one of the best I've ever tasted! If I ever find myself on holiday in Westminster again, I would absolutely come back to Gala.
Best Viet Coffee, does not taste burning or too strong of bitterness, This taste like the real deal from Vietnam, I recommend, but if you find another place better then please share:
The bánh su (known as chou in French) here is truly exceptional compared to other places. The cream filling is lighter and less sweet than what you typically find elsewhere. Priced at $0.90 each, it may not be the cheapest option, but the quality justifies the price, making it worth every penny. I recommend ordering the set of five pieces in the plastic box rather than the larger paper box. I can't recall if there's a discount for buying in bulk, but if you can, definitely opt for the five-piece bundle in the plastic box. The plastic packaging helps keep them from drying out better than the paper box does. One downside is that they close at 5:00 PM. Sometimes I finish work later and would love to grab some bánh su, but unfortunately, they are already closed.
