Cici's - Westlake Village

My friend and I came across this quaint brunch spot on our drive from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara. I'm thrilled we discovered it. The outdoor seating is lovely, there is ample parking, the staff is friendly, and the food was delicious! I will definitely return when I'm in the area again!

Crepes are good?, and there is a lot of coffee selection. we were there on a Sunday, we arrived 8 a.m. and the waiting period was only 5 minutes. at 10 o'clock the line was long.

With a rating of 4.4 stars, I had high expectations for this place. After reading the latest reviews, I decided to give it a try despite some negative feedback. Unfortunately, the service was quite slow due to only having two waiters for the entire restaurant. When I visited on a Wednesday, there were over 50 people dining and my food arrived cold and flavorless. The presentation was impressive, but the taste was lacking. This restaurant seems more suited for those looking to take photos rather than enjoy a flavorful meal. The prices are on the high side, with basic breakfast dishes costing over $20 and mimosas at the bar priced at over $10 each. The one highlight was the cappuccino, which was really good. However, if you prefer butter, salt, and pepper in your meals, you won't find them here as they are not used in the dishes.

The food at this restaurant was amazing, no doubt about that. However, the service was absolutely terrible. They told us it would take 15-30 minutes, but after 40 minutes we were informed that we still had 30 more minutes to wait. While in line, people ahead of me were told with rude tones that their party had been called and never showed up, despite the fact that I heard their party name called before ours. The process of finding our place in line on a piece of paper was confusing and disorganized. After waiting for an hour, we finally got water and placed our order. It took an additional 1 hour and 30 minutes for our food to arrive, while those who arrived after us were served much quicker. After inquiring about our food, it magically arrived immediately, cold and likely ready for a while. If you are patient and crave amazing food, this place may be worth a visit. However, if you value efficient service and a pleasant dining experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere. The kitchen staff is fast, but the waiters are lacking. The layout of the restaurant is cramped and lacks sufficient space for the high volume of customers.

Go when you have time to relax and enjoy visiting, as the service can be a bit slow. The food was excellent, as always. Our only negative was the small yip-yap dog at the table next to us. It would not keep quiet, so the mother-daughter duo took terms holding it or taking it outside. Handing the dog back and forth above the table felt unsanitary as hair saliva could've gotten into our food; very disrespectful of other paying diners.
