Winking Lizard Tavern - Westerville

I'm giving this place a solid 5 stars because I don't think you'll find a more extensive beer and whiskey selection around here. The mixed drinks are said to be well balanced and not too strong. The food is quite good, though not outstanding. My mom really enjoys their haddock. On my last visit, I had a patty melt that was tasty, although it was served on rather small slices of rye bread. The fries are definitely a highlight. My wife's salad also looked appealing.

The lighting is a bit dim, even at noon, which gives it more of a bar vibe rather than a traditional restaurant or pub feel. However, it’s not a major issue. The service here is fantastic; the staff is friendly and attentive. I decided to try two new varieties of hot wings: the Nashville hot and the Cajun. Unfortunately, neither of them quite delivered the kick I was hoping for; they were mild and lacked depth of flavor. Overall, I would rate this place four stars. It’s definitely worth a visit, so come check it out!

The wait staff was excellent, and the food and drinks were enjoyable. The atmosphere was pleasant as well. However, the food had some issues. While it was generally tasty, certain parts were overcooked, and the wings were overly drenched in sauce. The main components were burnt; for instance, the bacon on the fries was charred. The wings themselves were also burned, and it seems like the fryer oil might need to be changed. That said, the flavors were good despite the burnt elements, which is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.

Great whitefish, the shells and cheese is a little bland, the coleslaw is good and the cheese bread better on dine in than takeout. The lizard lips aka chicken strips are just as good as most places and the fries are good. They do have an excellent array of sauces. Burgers seem on par with most sit down joints. Overall it's a good meal for a reasonable price. Their beer menu is nice. The margarita was okayish. I would recommend eating their instead of takeout as they left the coleslaw out of the meal and we had to return, their takeout containers allows the bread and fried items to get that wet, limp taste.

This restaurant is fantastic! The staff was excellent, and the ambiance was enjoyable. I had the beer-battered fish dinner, which came with steak fries and coleslaw, and I also tried a seasonal Southern Tier pumpkin draft. I would definitely recommend this place!
