Ray Ray's Hog Pit Westerville

I had high expectations for this BBQ restaurant since it looked fantastic. However, after we got home and tasted the food, I was let down. There was a lack of flavor, whether it be from smoke or any seasoning. The pulled pork had a good texture, but everything else was overcooked, tough, and hard to chew.

Exceptional BBQ! The smoked meat was truly outstanding. The brisket was tender and packed with flavor, while the pulled pork was simply incredible. I especially appreciated the hot compound, which struck the perfect balance of taste and spice. We tried all four sauces, and the sweet one was my favorite; it paired beautifully with the pork. We also loved the mac and cheese, beans, and split potatoes, and everything was delicious. A colleague has been praising this place for years, and I really wish I had come sooner!

I stopped by on my way home to Kentucky and was delighted by the incredible pulled pork and ribs. If I'm ever within a couple of hours of this restaurant again, I will definitely take a detour for lunch! Everything was delicious! Food rating: 5/5.

Amazing food! The man with the long grey beard was extremely helpful during my first visit. He offered excellent service—very friendly and had such great energy. Hats off to the kitchen staff smoking the food while we were there; they really know their craft! There’s a picnic area outside, and even with a line, the service is impressively quick. I didn’t get around to trying the collard greens, ribs, or slaw today, but I've heard they’re fantastic as well. This place is definitely worth checking out!
