Mikado Sushi Japanese - West Vancouver

This place is fantastic! The food is out of this world, fresh as could be and prepared very quickly. The Bento boxes are especially good value. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is the awful music that they play at way to high a volume level for such a small room.........japanese elevator/ rock........yeucch!

This spot is great if you Iive in Caulfeild area or further out to Horseshoe Bay. The sushi is good, not Super good but decent. They are super busy at lunch with the high school students mid week, but dinner you can usually get a table

Very surprised by the cost of the sushi. We found that given it was basic sushi, the prices should be in line with other places. Perhaps because it is off the beaten track and situated in a strip mall would account for this. Disappointed and would not go back

Service, food, location, outdoor patio, all excellent. Never had a bad meal, very creative sushi dishes, always a fun crowd as well. Excellent.

The quality of food and the level of service has gone from excellent to poor at best. So sorry to see the old owners leave. This was one of our favourite local spots where we used to be guaranteed a fabulous meal. Now we are never sure and only go if there are no other options, but try to avoid it all together. The rice has changed, the wasabi, the agi dashi tofu has changed, the quality of everything is different as is the concern for customer satisfaction. Do not go during the week at lunch when school is in session you will be bombarded with students and that seems now to be the level they are catering to. Students don't tip and so they don't try very hard. A real disappointment from what it was when it first became Mikado.
