Bidrage med feedbackSo I went to this place a few weeks ago and I was very curious as what they were selling which was fried chicken skin. I went there and ordered the Kalbi plate with a side order of deep fried chicken skin with a sweet teriyaki sauce. The chicken skin was . But the Kalbi ribs was very disappointing! The Kalbi rib was so thin that I could see right through it! The flavor was bland and the cut of this Kalbi was very thin and I wanted a thick cut with some bite to it. The service was very good and the cashier was very helpful with me in regards to the chicken skin. Overall customer service was great. The Kalbi was not good, but the chicken skins were excellent!
This place had the most succulent, toe curling, fresh Katsu/Pupu chicken I've ever had. I also had the Kalbi ribs and I had a sensual seduction happen to me. Side of garlic shrimp was a nice touch to add to the already perfect meal and the rice and mac salad were on point as usual. The only complaint I had was that the food was eventually gone when I finished eating it, you gotta watch out for that and slow down when you eat. Mayjah Grindz.
Best kalbi ribs in the business. Most things made to order so it comes out nice and hot.
One of the best food in town expecially Hawaiian food the only thing is they are always closed. Several times I came here and they are closed which is very disappointing. I only come here now if I'm driving by and see it open. Hate wasting gas to drive all the way here and they are closed.
I discovered Island Grinds on TikTok, and the thirty-minute drive was definitely worth it! I ordered the two-meat plate with pupu chicken and kalbi ribs, and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was wonderfully crispy, and the marinated kalbi ribs, topped with their homemade sauce, were just amazing. Plus, since it’s Polynesian-owned, the atmosphere was fantastic—it truly felt like enjoying a meal at your mom’s or auntie's house!
